據報導，國民為從傷兵名單回歸的Dylan Crews清出空間，指定讓渡一壘手Nathaniel Lowe。
本季Lowe代表國民出賽119場，在490個打席中繳出0.216/0.292/0.373 OPS0.665 OPS+88的成績，外帶16發全壘打。
其中88的OPS+是生涯最糟，也是首度未達100，-0.3的WAR是生涯首度負數。
國民在休賽季透過跟遊騎兵的交易得到Lowe，但表現不如預期。
