Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant plays basketball because he loves the game.While he appreciates the attention and praise from fans and his peers, Morantnever wanted to be considered one of the next "Faces of the NBA".
"I never did for real," Morant told The Athletic. "Honestly."
The Grizzlies star explained he plays basketball for reasons other than stardom. He also said those face-of-the-league conversations aren't something he wants to be a part of.
"There’s a lot that comes with that," Morant said. "I play basketball for thelove of the game, not to be the face of the NBA. Obviously, I hear that a lot. I don’t put no pressure on it. I just go out and just play my game. Me pretty much just going out there and doing that had me in those conversations. Obviously, people have their own opinions, but I really don’t care for it too much."
Ja Morant說：
「我打籃球是因為熱愛這項運動，而不是為了成為NBA的門面。當然，我經常聽到這樣的說法。我不會給自己施加任何壓力。我只是上場打好自己的比賽。我基本上就是這麼做的，所以才引發了這些討論。當然，每個人都有自己的看法，但我真的不太在意。」
心得：看許多討論即使Ja這麼說，還是希望能減少一些秀槍械的行為。
