We are Taiwan ppl recognize your administration's commitment to revitalizing American manufacturing and ensuring national economic security. As the world's leading semiconductor foundry, we share your vision of a robust and resilient supply chain.

However, we are concerned that imposing tariffs of up to 100% on semiconductorsmanufactured outside the United States could have unintended consequences. Suchtariffs may increase costs for American consumers and businesses, potentially slowing technological innovation and economic growth.

TSMC has already committed to significant investments in the U.S., including a $100 billion expansion in Arizona, to support domestic semiconductor production.We believe that collaborative efforts, rather than punitive measures, will better serve our mutual goals.

We respectfully urge your administration to reconsider the proposed tariffs andto engage in dialogue with industry stakeholders to develop policies that strengthen the U.S. semiconductor industry without unintended negative impacts.
