Q: Smaller shoes for the next game?
問：下一場比賽會穿小一點的鞋嗎？
Hali: No. Hell no.
Hali： 不可能，絕對不可能。

Q: Did you think it was a three in the moment?
問：當下你以為那球是三分球嗎？

Hali: Uh, yeah. Yeah, for sure. But quickly in my celebration, somebody said itwas a two, and yeah, then my focus just became winning it—how we could win thegame. I thought we did a great job of sticking with it in overtime, just makingbig play after big play. You know, obviously, Aaron’s heroics—I mean, I hope they’re talked about—they can’t be talked about enough. He was amazing down the stretch. Obi had a big putback dunk. We just had a lot of different guys contribute, make plays. Yeah, just really proud of our group.

Q: When did the choke idea come to you in the moment?

Hali: I mean, I wasn’t like plotted on it or anything. Everybody wanted me to do it like last year at some different point. But it’s just got to feel right. And it felt right at the time. If I would’ve known it was a two, I would not have done it. So I think I might’ve wasted it. If I do it again, people might sayI’m like aura farming, so I’m not—I don’t plan on using it again.
Hali： 其實我也不是早就計畫好的。很多人去年就叫我某個時候做這個手勢，但這種事得 要當下感覺對才行，那時候我覺得對。如果我當時知道那球是兩分，我就絕對不會做。所以我現在有點覺得浪費了這次機會。如果我再做一次，大家可能會說我在玩弄氣氛，所以我不打算再用了。



Q: What’s it like to watch Nesmith do what he did?
問：看到 Nesmith 那樣表現是什麼感覺？

Hali: Yeah, special, man. I think Double A works his tail off. Each shot that he made just kept giving us more confidence that we could really win this game. He was really big for us. To do what he did today while also having to guard Jalen Brunson for probably 30 minutes is very difficult to do. Like I said, what Aaron Nesmith did today can’t be talked about enough. Really proud of his effort and our group’s effort.
Hali： 太特別了，兄弟。我覺得 Double A（Nesmith）真的拼命努力。他投進的每一球都 讓我們更相信自己能贏下這場比賽。他對我們來說太關鍵了。能在今天有那樣表現，還得去防守 Jalen Brunson 大概 30 分鐘，真的非常困難。就像我說的，今天 Aaron Nesmith 的表現真的值得大吹特吹。我真的為他的努力，也為整個團隊的努力感到驕傲。



Q: When your shot at the end of regulation goes off the rim and up in the air, part of you think it’s going in?

Hali: Honestly, no. I KNEW it was in—I’m like, “It’s going in.” It just fel
t like it got stuck up there, though. Honestly, when it went in, I was like—I thought my eyes might have been deceiving me in the moment. But it felt good when it left my hand. I thought it was going to go in. It felt like the ball was upthere for eternity. Just a special moment.

Q: You guys have talked about this a lot over the past couple weeks—now makingthis kind of comeback like this, what is the routine about you guys that allowsyou to keep doing stuff nobody else has been able to do?

Hali: Yeah. I mean, I would like to not keep being in this situation. But I think we’re just a group that has spent a lot of time with each other. The front office’s decision to keep the majority of our group together—basically our whole team together essentially after last year—I think that was really big. We’vebeen through everything together.

We’ve been on big losing skids, big winning runs, had to win in so many different ways. So many guys had to step up and make big shots. I think in the NBA, you don’t see a ton of continuity from year to year, right? Many teams are changing. Our front office did a great job of keeping this group together, and that gives us confidence in each other.
我們一起經歷過連敗、連勝，也以各種方式贏球。很多人都在關鍵時刻站出來。在 NBA，很少有球隊每年都保持穩定，大多都變動很大。管理層做得很好，讓這群人持續在一起，這讓我們彼此更有信心。

We feel like we know where everybody’s going to be. We have high expectations for each other, but we also hold each other accountable at the same time, and I think that’s important, because people joke about us and call us like a collegeteam a little bit because of how close we are, how we’ve been together, and we’re all super young. But it’s special. I love playing with these guys and look forward to keeping this run going.
我們彼此間很有默契。我們對彼此有很高的期望，也會互相督促，這很重要。有人會開玩笑說我們像一支大學球隊，因為我們感情太好了，又年輕。但這讓這支球隊很特別。我真的很喜歡和這些隊友一起打球，也希望能把這段旅程繼續走下去。



Q: You’re obviously a student of history. You know about the choke gesture. How much do you know about where that came from—the game where Reggie did it and what happened?

Hali: I’ve seen that Winning Time doc probably like 50 times growing up. I know they didn’t win the series, so I would not like to repeat that. But I think that was a historic moment. That was more him versus Spike—kind of a one-on-one.That just felt like it was to everybody, but to him too. I wanted him to see itmore than anything.
I think it’s really cool to continue to make my own history and this group to make our own history, while also showing respect and love to the ones who came befor us. Definitely a special moment. Something I won’t forget.
Hali： 我大概看過《Winning Time》紀錄片五十遍了吧？我知道那年他們沒贏下系列賽， 我不想重演那段歷史。不過那是個非常經典的時刻，更像是 Reggie 和 Spike 的一對一對 決。雖然我做那個手勢是對著全場，但其實也是對著他做的，我更想讓他（Reggie）看到。能夠在寫下我們自己的歷史的同時，向所有來替我們應援的人致上敬意，我覺得這非常。這是一
個特別的時刻，我會永遠記住。



Q: In the last round, Reggie was like, “Next game, coming back in the fourth quarter,” and he said, “This is the best fourth-quarter closer in the game right here.” Is he right—or is that maybe you right away?
問：上一輪 Reggie 說：「下一場第四節會反超」，還說「這是聯盟最強的第四節終結者。」他說的是對的嗎？還是你會說，其實那是你？
Hali: It’s whoever you want it to be.
Hali： 你覺得是誰就是誰。



Q: Ty, wanted to ask you about something boring—like your guys’ pace.

Hali: That’s not boring. I love talking about that! Come on.

Q: To comeback at 17, do you think that relentless pressure wore them down a little bit?

Hali: I think maybe you could say that. They missed a couple free throws there down the stretch, had a couple short misses at the end. I’m sure for coaches’ sake, if coach speaks, yeah, the “wear-down effect” was in full effect right there.
Hali： 我覺得你可以這麼說。他們最後幾分鐘錯失了幾個罰球，還有一些出手投短了沒進 。如果讓教練來說，他大概會說「疲勞打擊」確實產生了作用。

But I think the way you have to approach this game and this series is that it’s going to be a seven-game series that can be played in 13 days, right? That’s how we’re approaching it. Take it one day at a time. Just trying to wear on these guys as much as we can.

Their starters play a lot of minutes. With some foul trouble, some other guys had to play more time, and they had a lineup out there that probably hasn’t played together a ton, so it was really effective from there.

We’ve just got to do a better job. But I think it’s hard for me to discredit and to say the wear-down effect wasn’t there. I think from everything you’re seeing, that’s a part of it—and a part of our identity. How can we wear on teams for 48 minutes? Picking up full court, offensive pressure, getting downhill, playing fast.

We did a good job offensively of playing our style. They went on a little run and got a pretty big lead. Pascal had the and-one on KAT, and we just kept coming, kept coming. That was big—making extra plays, getting extra possessions with offensive rebounds, or finishing, getting rebounds on that side. All big down the stretch.
So yeah, for Coach Carlisle’s sake, we’ll say the wear-down effect was in full effect.

Q: You have shot three of these shots down—the game winner, game tying shots at the buzzer—What’s do you like about to be in those moments that you might beon the path of success?
問：你已經投進好幾個致勝球、追平球了——對於能參與這些關鍵時刻你有什麼想法？這對你成功的路上意味著什麼？

Hali: I think every person who enjoys basketball—or probably everybody in here—imagined at one point they’d be an NBA player. The biggest thing when growing up, is that everyone’s on the playground or in the driveway or gym by themselves, doing the countdown: 5-4-3-2-1… shooting it. And if you miss, nobody’s around, so just put more time on the clock right?
Hali： 我覺得每個喜歡籃球的人——甚至可能在這個聯盟的每個人，小時候想過成為 NBA 球員的人——每個人小時候都會在操場、車道、或體育館裡，自己默默倒數：5、4、3、2、1……然後出手。如果投不進，反正沒人看到，自己偷偷再加幾秒對吧。

I think for me, I was always encouraged to have an imagination. Running down the hallway in my childhood home, pretending there was a hoop. The biggest thing for me is that I already have the confidence to take the shot in the moment—but I get that confidence from my group.
我一直被鼓勵要有想像力。我會在家裡的走廊裡跑步，假裝那裡有籃框。對我來說，最重要的是我本身有信心在那個時刻出手——但這種信心來自我的隊友。

My group wants me to take those shots. My coaching staff wants me to take thoseshots. Our organization wants me to take those shots, I think now even the fanswant me to take those shots. Everybody is living and dying with it, and that gives me a lot of confidence.
我的隊友、教練團、球團，甚至現在連球迷都希望我投這些關鍵球。每個人都與我同在，接受我出手的結果，這給我極大的信心。

To be honest with you, like when I got traded here, we weren’t very good. So we would be in these moments and I’d have to take these shots, and I would miss them, and nobody would care. Maybe Pacers fans would. But we weren’t very good,not a playoff team or anything. I feel like that was a kind of baptism by fire almost, and now we’re in situations where they mattered in a bigger scale and Ithink that’s important for me, and I really think that experience is the best teacher for me, and I will have that as the time went on.
老實說，我剛被交易來這裡的時候，我們戰績不好。當我們處於這樣的落後狀況，我必須去投這些球，但當時就算我失手了，老實說根本沒什麼人在乎。也許只有溜馬球迷會在意。當時我們不是季後賽球隊，那段時間就像一場烈火洗禮。而現在這些時刻變得重要了，這對我來說意義重大。我真的相信經驗是最好的老師，這會隨著時間累積下去。



Q: You and Jalen obviously have a lot of recent history—FIBA World Cup, last year’s playoffs, the WWE ring stare-down, and now back here in the conference finals. What does it mean to have a game like this against him?
問：你和 Jalen 最近有很多交集——世界盃、去年的季後賽、WWE 的對峙，現在又在東決 碰頭。能和他打一場這樣的比賽，你有什麼想法？

Hali: He’s a great player. I love competing against him. I know maybe I’m notsupposed to say that, like we’re friends, but I love competing against that guy. I just love competing in general.
The storied rivalry between the Pacers and Knicks is really cool, but where we are right now—it’s like, how much does it really matter?
Hali： 他是個很棒的球員。我很享受跟他對抗。我知道我現在可能不該這麼說，但我們私 下是朋友，而我真的很喜歡和他交手。我就是喜歡競爭。
溜馬跟尼克的歷史對戰很酷，但現在這個時刻——我們是在寫新的歷史。

We’re writing our own stories right now. It’s a special time—something tha’
ll be remembered by Pacers and Knicks fans moving forward. Really special to compete against him, and just to compete in general.

Q: When the team was down—did you have a message to the team when you were down?
問：當球隊落後時，你有對隊友說什麼嗎？

Hali: When we got down like 16 or 17, it was: let’s get it to 10, let’s get it to 5. Just try to walk them down. There’s no 17-point shot. I think we did a great job of chipping away, chipping away—and good things happened for us.
Hali： 當我們落後 16、17 分時，我說的是：我們先追到 10分差，再追到 5分差，我們慢慢追，因為沒有那種一球可以得17 分的球。我覺得我們做得很好，一點一點咬住比分，然 後好事就發生了。



Q: Did you get a chance to interact with Reggie?

Hali: After my postgame interview, we locked eyes and had a little moment. I didn’t want to go over there because it was pretty hectic, but we communicate pretty often. Definitely a special time. Really cool he was in the building for that.
Hali： 我賽後受訪時，我們有對到眼一下，算是有個特別的交流。我沒過去找他，因為現 場實在太混亂了，但我們平常就蠻常會聯繫。這是一段很特別的時刻，他能在現場見證這一切真的很酷。

其實我最喜歡的是小時候自己倒數絕殺，和在剛到溜馬時就算沒進也沒人在意那段
